Adam Kinnaman, age 7, of Lincoln is the 2007 CSG OW for Age 10 & Under.
Adam just missed getting an Iron Man shirt with two silvers and one gold. This was the first time since 1997 no one in this age group brought home an Iron Man Shirt. Jordon Redler of Milford was the only other wrestler in this age group to win three medals. Jordon took home one silver medal and a pair of bronze medals.

Dante’ Rodriguez, age 11, of Kearney is the 2007 CSG OW for Ages 11 to 14.
Dante’ took home 4 gold medals and his fifth straight Iron Man shirt. Over the past 5 years Dante’ has won 15 gold and 4 silver medals. The 2006 CSG Wrestler of the Year, Hunter Bamford of Kearney, had another outstanding State Games winning 4 golds and a silver. Hunter in the past 3 years at the Games has earned 13 gold medals and a pair of silver medals. Colton Adams of Scottsbluff won a pair of gold medals along with 3 silver medals. That gives Colton 15 CSG medals over the past 3 years.

Austin Wilson, age 15, of Juniata is the 2007 is the 2007 CSG OW for Ages 15 to 18.
Austin finished the Games with 3 gold medals and one silver medal for his fourth Iron Man shirt. Austin became a 6 time Huskerland State Champion this past April. Also getting very strong consideration for this award was Zachery Cottle of Fort Calhoun, the 2006 CSG OW for Ages 15 to 18. Zach earned 3 golds and 2 silvers plus a record 7th straight Iron Man shirt

Joel Torpy, age 19, of Omaha is the 2007 is the 2007 CSG OW for Age 19 & Over.
Joel took home 4 gold medals and earned his second Iron Man shirt. His twin brother, Jae, and a great Games also with 3 golds and a silver. Rob Pilcher of Omaha, National State Games Male Athlete of the Year, won a record 9th Iron Man shirt. Rob picked up 4 golds and a silver to give him a record 44 State Games medals. James Ferguson of Omaha had a couple of good days also in winning 3 golds and a bronze. It was a family reunion for the Ferguson family with all 5 sons along with their Dad wrestled in the Games.

Dante’ Rodriguez is the wrestler being nominated for the CSG Male Athlete of the Year.
